“Surf The Sun wins The Chase Final for Gary Nelson”

Fleet-footed speedster Surf The Sun continued on his merry way tonight, overcoming box eight to win The Chase final for Nambeelup trainer Gary Nelson. The son of Bendigo Cup winner Vanderworp began cleanly from the wide draw before roaring past his rivals and winning by two lengths in 22.21. It was his fifth consecutive victory over the 400m distance and last week in his heat he clocked an amazing 22.04. The Kody Charles prepared Aston Nero worked home strongly for second and four lengths away third was Aston Costello. Surf The Sun is from a terrific litter out of Aurora Maya that includes Stu McFly (13 wins), Timmy Tesla (12 wins), Max Capacity (9 wins) and Dancing Dawn (7 wins).
