MISS TENNESSEE (Feral Franky-Rippin’ Memphis) crossed and led from box 6 and then put up a margin on her rivals down the back straight. The Shayne Williams trained bitch had not been placed in 5 prior starts at Cannington. The black bitch, handled by new Irish handler Sean Collins, defeated Iconic Guess by 1 1/2 lengths in 30.18.
RAPIDO KUNA (Bernardo-Rapido Lass) led from box 3 and even though easing as race favourite, raced clear in the straight to win by 6 lengths over Oosthuizen in 29.65. The Michael Johnston trained youngster has now won 3 times from just 7 career starts.
JUST A BABE (Tommy Shelby-Deluxe Model) ran home strongly to claim the leader Rapido Warrior in the home straight. The Chris Halse bitch won by 1 1/2 lengths in a PB 34.78. The win was her second over the 601metres.
SUNSET COMANCHE (Hard Style Rico-Sunset Kodiak) also railed well around the home corner and defeated the early leader Silent Assassin by a half length in 29.63. The David Hobby trained dog has been chasing consistently without much luck before his victory.
