“Regency Boy wins over 300m for Damien Crudeli”

The Damien Crudeli prepared Regency Boy appreciated tonight’s drop in grade and distance and took out the Bring The Family Country 6 over 300m. He was slowly away and always well back at his previous start over 520m at Cannington when seventh. Tonight he again began only fairly before finding the fence and surging into contention just before straightening. A gap opened on the inside and he flew through to take over and then zoom away to win by five lengths in 17.17. Oakley Belle battled on for second and half a length away third was veteran Our Boy Doug. Regency Boy has now won 4 of 24 career starts for his owners the Champagne Syndicate and will gain plenty of confidence out of tonight.
