“Classic Story wins first up in WA for Kody Charles”

Hopeland based trainer Kody Charles has a kennel full of talent and another greyhound made a big impression tonight. Former Victorian Classic Story, owned by Giorgio Alvaro drew awkwardly in box five over 400m against Country 5/6 opposition. The son of Aston Rupee didn’t begin well but quickly hooked wide and zoomed around his rivals. By half way he had exploded five lengths clear and he kept going, eventually winning by nine lengths in a fast 22.33. He won 6 of his first 11 starts in NSW but recent form in Victoria had tapered off and he had failed to beat a runner home at his last couple at Shepparton and The Meadows. Fletcher Keeping battled on well for second and half a length away in third position was Sunset Snitch. Classic Story is from a super litter that includes Cool Story (11 wins), Epic Story (11 wins), End Of Story (9 wins) and Awesome Story (5 wins).
