“Macaroni Monelli bounces back from box one”

Capable sprinter Macaroni Monelli improved sharply tonight from box one, winning the Get Your Quaddie On Provincial 5 over 400m. The son of Superior Panama recently switched to the Trevor Augustin kennel in Parklands and was sent out at 10/1. He improved sharply at box rise and was an unlikely leader at the first turn before going on to defeat a handy field by four lengths in 22.56. The Ben MacLean trained Princess Mila ran on strongly for second and a length away third was the fast finishing Solo Man for Paul Kaltsis. Macaroni Monelli snapped a long losing sequence of 19 and also improved on a surprisingly poor record from box one.
