“Sunset Buckles delivers from box eight”

The David Hobby owned and trained Sunset Buckles was well supported to win tonight’s Bring The Family Provincial Novice over 400m. The daughter of Zack Monelli began cleanly and with the help of Starlight Twix (box seven) cutting left at pace was able to zoom into second position at the first turn. She then crossed over to the fence in front of Starlight Twix and accelerated clear of her opponents. She went on to win by four lengths in 22.63, a time just half a length outside of her previous PB set in April. Flexible Power finished strongly for second and Starlight Twix held on for third. Sunset Buckles is a litter sister to other promising types Sunset Owlet and Sunset Sapphire.
