“Full On Frankie storms home in a storm to win for Pete Brown”

Greyhounds racing over 300m rarely prevail after settling near the rear after fifty metres but that was the case tonight for the Pete Brown trained Full On Frankie. She missed the kick from box six and was seventh after fifty metres before weaving magic in windy and wet conditions. Race leader Bonnie Gray tired abruptly late and Full On Frankie dashed clear to win powerfully. She clocked 17.49 which was a terrific effort given the sloppy conditions and how many opponents she had to overtake after her poor jump. The Sue Mallia trained Decent Guy and the Ricky Valenti prepared Spider Gwen dead-heated for second place. Bonnie Gray faded to finish fourth. Full On Frankie has now won 9 of 75 career starts and earned over $21,000.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 3 Number 4 SPIDER GWEN : Was interfered with at crucial stages and still flashed home to share second.

Race 4 Number 3 JUST A PIRATE : Out-mustered rivals to find the front and win by five lengths.
