“Next Thing Uno wins the Kanyana Cup for Steve Withers”

Promising sprinter Next Thing Uno took out tonight’s feature event, the Kanyana Cup Final over 488m. The beautifully bred daughter of Tommy Shelby struck lots of bother in her heat but salvaged a third to qualify for tonight’s final. She drew nicely in box three and quickly zoomed to an early lead and set up a six length advantage. Former Victorian Seek To Plan made up a few lengths and finished a solid second but was beaten 2.75 lengths. The David Hobby prepared Sunset Owlet did a fine job to finish third from box eight. Next Thing Uno is raced by the After Party Syndicate and is trained out of Casuarina by Steve Withers. Her mother Joker Poker has been a magnificent brood bitch, producing the likes of Wolf Man (22 wins), Bo Cruz (18 wins), Daddy’s Girl (17 wins), Distribution (12 wins) and Echoes Of Dad (4 wins).
