“Origin Blue shoots the lights out at Mandurah”

Explosive beginner Origin Blue looks set for a very bright future after tonight’s slashing victory over 400m. The daughter of Aussie Infrared flew out of box five and scorched to the first marker in 6.28 before winning by four lengths in 22.62. She started her career in NSW and ran second in a 400m maiden at Newcastle before heading west. Trained by Paul Kaltsis she won first up over 381m at Cannington and followed with a second at Mandurah on June 20. Tonight she looked stronger late and was never in any danger of losing. Major Ace ran second and a neck away third was Sunset Amanda. Origin Blue turned two in March and with her sizzling early pace is going to charge up the grades in quick time.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 2 Number 8 JEREMY’S BRIGADE : Overcame box eight to win nicely by four lengths.

Race 3 Number 1 PROPULSIVE : Recaptured winning form from box one and clocked a new PB of 17.12.
