“Graham Ellis trains a Quinella”

Southern River based trainer Graham Ellis prepared first and second placegetters in tonight’s All Torque Engineering Country 6 over 300m. Speedy bitch Sweetie Pie was well backed and began beautifully from box three, zooming straight to the front and winning by 2.25 lengths in 17.26. Her kennelmate Early Worm was having her 100th career start and finished strongly to be the runner up ahead of Fred Flint in third position. The Ellis trained pair are two whole years apart in age and the TABtouch Quinella dividend was $31.20. Ellis has enjoyed training success in the past with Ruby’s Chapta, Oxley King, Soul’s Glory, El Perro, Sweet Charlee and Names Magic.
