“Divot wins easily on debut for Lewis Clay”
Juvenile chaser Divot made every post a winner in tonight’s Bring The Family Provincial Maiden over 400m. He showed serious promise in his qually last Tuesday when he sizzled to the first marker in 6.29 before stopping the clock at 22.55. This evening he quickly assumed control from box four and won by four lengths in 22.75 over Freckles Monelli and Warrior Zeus. Divot was sired by Aussie Infrared and is out of Torza who won a total of 16 races over distances ranging from 330m to 520m. He is owned by the Ted Clay managed Clayhounds Syndicate and is a full brother to other greyhounds with ‘golf-themed names’ Kokrak, Flop Shot, Finau and Oosthuizen.
