“Petite wins on debut at her Northam debut”

Northam newcomer Petite was well backed to take out today’s Afternoon In The Valley Country Novice over 297m. The daughter of Beast Unleashed drew box three for Parklands based trainer Trevor Augustin and after a clean getaway mustered to the lead at the first turn. She went on to salute for favourite backers by three lengths over Honest Bird in a handy time of 17.42. It was Honest Bird’s fourth consecutive minor placing at Northam for Bakers Hill trainer Terry Munday. A length away in third position was Send It Alex for Eric Campana. Petite has now won 4 of 22 career starts for owner Cosi Dagostino.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 1 Number 7 BURNLEY BEAST : Looked very strong on the line and is worth following against similar opposition.

Race 3 Number 5 WENO GEORGE : Worked home well after a poor getaway and might be looking for a longer trip.
