“Iron Works wins Mandurah Distance Challenge Heat by 9.50 lengths”
Highly promising stayer Iron Works made light work of tonight’s first heat of the Mandurah Distance Challenge over 652m. The Paul Stuart prepared chaser overcame an early bump last Friday to win in 37.47 and tonight enjoyed an uninterrupted run to lead throughout in 37.01. He increased his lead with every stride and stormed away to salute by 9.50 lengths over Timon Lane and Jamarra. The son of Aussie Infrared took his career record to 10 wins and 7 seconds from 25 lifetime starts and he will be very hard to beat in the final. The second heat was also won by a Paul Stuart prepared runner with Vinales winning in 37.31 over Boracay Summer and Miss Ronnie Mac.
