“Iron Works wins over 652m at Mandurah”

Highly promising stayer Iron Works was sent out a $1.09 fixed odds favourite with TABtouch. Fresh off a 14.75 length victory over 715m at Cannington, the son of Aussie Infrared began cleanly out of box one but was crossed at the first turn by Miss Ronnie Mac. She flew out of box eight and sizzled down to the fence and was able to set up a three length lead as she entered the back straight. Iron Works closed in powerfully and at the top of the home straight leveled up with Miss Ronnie Mac. Iron Works then proved the strongest, winning by just over a length. Miss Ronnie Mac held second and a neck away third was All About Coal. Iron Works is owned and trained by Paul Stuart and has now won 5 of his last 7 starts over staying distances.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 2 Number 8 WISECRACKER : Made light work of tonight’s assignment with a six length triumph.

Race 4 Number 7 HEATHER’S PICK : Motored home for fourth and finished on the heels of some seriously good chasers.
