“Litter-mates fill the podium for David Hobby in 400m Maiden”

Leading Nambeelup trainer David Hobby had three runners in tonight’s Auto Owls Bentley Maiden over 400m, all hailing from the same litter (Hooked On Scotch x Flake Monelli). Flake Monelli was a freak chaser who won 30 of 52 starts and clocked the amazing Cannington times of 29.48 (over 520m), 34.22 (over 600m) and 41.29 (over 715m). She has also mothered super greyhounds like Crumble Monelli, Custard Monelli, Pudding Monelli, Waffles Monelli and Jelly Monelli. Tonight it was Fantale Monelli who flew from the boxes and took an outright lead before winning in a breeze. Lolly Monelli chased her home and was beaten two lengths with their brother Freckles Monelli another one length away in third position. The Monelli Trifecta returned $118.20 with the WA TAB.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 2 Number 3 FLASH GYPSY : Rocketed out to an early lead before winning by three lengths on debut in 17.39.

Race 4 Number 8 WOODBURN FLASH : Copped a bump early but still did a great job to salvage a minor placing.
