“Fast Byte rockets home to win for Greg Horne”

Talented up and comer Fast Byte notched a hat-trick of wins when she flew home to win tonight’s Prime Trophies Provincial 5 over 488m. The daughter of Zack Monelli won her previous two starts at Cannington in fast times, first clocking 34.61 over 601m and then 29.80 over 520m. Tonight Trunkey Irene pinged out of box five and set the pace but race favourite Rigatoni Monelli settled in second position with Fast Byte another two lengths away in third. As they straightened Rigatoni Monelli took the lead but Fast Byte was finishing powerfully. In the last stride Fast Byte hit the front and was able to score by half a head over Rigatoni Monelli in 27.26. Another half head away in third was Trunkey Irene who ran an excellent race.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 3 Number 5 ZAC’S THUNDER : Overcame box five to win tenaciously over favourite Arctic Crop.

Race 4 Number 5 TRUNKEY IRENE : Set the pace before being beaten narrowly in a terrific time.
