“Sunset Lightfoot wins again for David Hobby”

Promising young sprinter Sunset Lightfoot was a well supported favourite in tonight’s Sires On Ice Provincial 5 over 488m. The daughter of Aston Rupee won a heat of the Puppy Classic a fortnight ago at Cannington in 30.08 but after early crowding could only manage a fifth in the final. This evening she began cleanly and mustered to the front before holding off a fast finishing Hulkenberg to score by a length. She clocked a smart 27.52 which was well inside her previous best time of 27.79. Her brother Sunset Capone has also started his career in a blaze of glory winning 9 of 15 career starts and earning over $40,000.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 5 Number 2 UNLEASHED MAYHEM : Came from behind to win in a slick 22.32 and has now won 11 of 19 over 400m.

Race 6 Number 8 ARTISAN ARTIST : Overcame box eight and a brilliant field to win at massive odds in the 400m FFA.
