“Justin Wood trains an early double at Mandurah”

Nambeelup based trainer Justin Wood prepared the first two winners this evening and both victories occurred over 300m. Wacky Willow ran on strongly to take out the first event after a slow getaway and was dashing clear from her rivals over the concluding stages. She clocked 17.65 which was a nice effort given she didn’t begin all that well. Race Two was won by Oakley Belle who overcame box seven to beat a handy field by three lengths in 17.32. Kennel-mate Hurricane Hollie ran second after setting the pace and looks close to a win. Wood arrived at the track with four greyhounds and left with two winners, one second and a fourth.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 4 Number 6 FEARLESS TWO : Flew the boxes and couldn’t cross but soldiered on for a solid third against quality types.

Race 6 Number 3 CURIOUS GEORGIA : Bounced back with an all the way win in 6.16 and 22.30.
