“Fearless Russ overcomes wide draw for Augustin”
Honest short-courser Fearless Russ worked hard to get across his rivals before dashing away in the home straight to win by three lengths. The son of Shima Shine jumped well and bumped a few times with leader On Board before crossing to the rail and recording a smart 17.41. Tonight was his fourth career victory from 24 starts and all wins have occurred over the 300m journey. Fearless Russ is trained by Trevor Augustin out of Parklands and is a full brother to other handy chasers Fearless Two and Bluey Hook.
