CLIFTON THAYNE (Zack Monelli-Banjo’s Girl) held the rail position driving into the first corner and then was too good for Sunset Worm scoring by 2 1/4 lengths in 30.00. The Vince Reid trained dog had been racing consistently at Mandurah before breaking through at his first look at the Cannington track under race conditions.

ZIPPING MARADONA (Zack Monelli-Zipping Fleur) also used box 1 to perfection getting up underneath the leader West On Miley swinging for home and scoring a 2 1/4 length win in 29.93. The Cosi Dagostino trained dog was having his first start at Headquarters after having recorded his 5th career win recently at Mandurah.

CHLOE ANT (Fernando Bale-Bionic Black Ant) led throughout in the opening heat of the Summer Chase. The Enzo Crudeli trained bitch has been in outstanding winning form, recording her fifth consecutive victory defeating Iron Works by a length in 34.63.
