“Sunset Nightjar swoops into Birthday Cup Final”

Sunset Nightjar is a genuine track specialist at the Mandurah venue and overcame box eight to win tonight’s third heat of the Birthday Cup. He began fairly and was posted wide at the first turn before sweeping down the outside to score in 22.50 over Our Ozzie Opal and Irving Bale. The son of Hard Style Rico has now appeared at the Peel circuit 29 times for 10 wins and 12 minor placings. He has won from all eight boxes and will prove hard to stop no matter where he draws. The other heat winners were Aston Costello (22.18), Sunset Mirage (22.18), Surf The Sun (22.35), Uncle Tommy (22.30) and Wise Barra (22.37). The box draw for next Friday’s Final :
