“Sunset Capone wins the Dawesville Cup for David Hobby”
Smart sprinter Sunset Capone cashed in on his inside draw to win tonight’s Dawesville Cup by seven lengths. The David Hobby trained chaser won his heat from box three when he railed through in the middle stages to set up victory. Tonight he found the front early before dashing away in the back straight and setting up a big lead. Then when his closest pursuers Vinales and Boracay Summer bumped each other the race was his. Sunset Capone glided home for a big win in a smart time of 27.41. Formula Fun ran second and a length away third was Aston Bollinger. It was David Hobby’s fourth triumph in the race after winning with Sitar Monelli (2015), Sunset Milo (2020) and Le Jury Monelli (2021).
