“Solid Tank wins Free For All for Margaret Hepple”
Terrific short-courser Solid Tank made full use of box two tonight when he recovered from a fair jump to win tonight’s Sires On Ice FFA over 300m. The Margaret Hepple prepared chaser was having his 81st start and was well supported despite taking on the likes of Go Seek Kotoni, Hopeland and Dancing Dennis. The son of Aston Dee Bee drove through in the middle stages to take the lead and win in a handy 17.03. Dancing Dennis railed through into second position and three lengths away third was outsider Miss Valentine. Solid Tank has now won 19 races along with 32 minor placings and continues to race in peak form despite approaching four years of age.
HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :
Race 3 Number 1 CHIEF WIGGUM : Dashed away late to win impressively in 22.74.
Race 4 Number 1 BEER THANKS : Powered to the line after a moderate getaway to win in 17.32.
