“Boracay Summer wins first up in WA”

Ex-Victorian chaser Boracay Summer (pictured) was strongly supported to win tonight’s Sires On Ice sponsored Dawesville Cup heat over 488m. The daughter of Feral Franky overcame a couple of jostling battles in transit to win by three lengths in 27.78. Outsider Stevie Monelli motored home for second ahead of the fading Motor City Rossi. Boracay Summer is raced by Jobell Ahern and is now trained out of Casuarina by Steve Withers. She is a full sister to the elite Boracay Storm who has won 17 of 45 and earned over $95,000. Other siblings include Woodside Johnny (9 wins), Lanfranco (7 wins), Rapid Heart (6 wins) and Cracker’s Girl who has started just twice for a first and a second.
