“Maidstone Dip relishes box eight for Andrew McLaren”

Maidstone Dip made light work of tonight’s Samuel Power Provincial Maiden over 488m. The son of Tommy Shelby had only managed 3 minor placings from his first 8 starts and jumped $4.80 from the pink box. He began fairly and was third and wide as he entered the back straight before surging to the lead and then winning by seven lengths. He posted a promising 27.53 and beat race favourite Send Me Roses and a length away third was Nervous Waters. Maidstone Dip is out of unraced bitch Yunderup Dip who was a full sister to some very fast greyhounds like Showtime Jack, Yunderup Magic and Yunderup Sheila.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Trial 1 Number 3 MALCOLM BYTE : Won over 300m in a highly promising 17.11.

Trial 2 Number 1 SOUVLAKI GEORGE : Showed early pace and motored away to win by 8.75 lengths in 17.16.
