“Surf The Sun lights up Mandurah again for Gary Nelson”

Promising sprinter Surf The Sun made light work of tonight’s Colin Bowman Provincial 5 over 400m. The son of Vanderworp mustered to the front in 6.30 before opening up a big break on his rivals in the middle stages. He won by four lengths in a smart 22.47 over outsider Must Be Speedy and another two lengths away third was Play The Music. Surf The Sun has now won 7 of 18 for trainer Gary Nelson and owner Peter Cameron. Littermates include Timmy Tesla (5 wins), Max Capacity (5 wins), Stu McFly (3 wins), Dancing Dawn (2 wins) and Action Shot (2 wins).

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Trial 3 Number 8 WEST ON PRANCER : Overcame box 8 to win in a promising 27.63 for Chris Halse.

Race 4 Number 2 BLUEY HOOK : Found the front and went on to score by a comfortable six lengths.
