“Irving Bale causes a boilover for James Jeffries”

Tonight’s fifth race loomed as a two dog race with Sunset Nightjar (box 5) and Iconic Jet (box 8) dominating betting activity. At box rise outsider Irving Bale pinged the lids and dashed across the field to find the lead. Sunset Nightjar settled in second with Iconic Jet third on the outside. The favourites loomed as threats at the top of the straight but Irving Bale was too strong, maintaining a lead and winning by a length. It was his nineteenth career victory from 57 starts and his first at the Mandurah venue.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 2 Number 2 SHOT DUKE : Settled in the lead before winning easily in 17.32.

Race 3 Number 6 FIDEL PRONTO : Battled on well for a terrific second at juicy odds.
