“Sergis Banner wins first up in WA for Cosi Dagostino”

Sergis Banner arrived in this state with solid credentials having won her last start in NSW at Wentworth Park. She led throughout on that occasion and clocked a handy 29.78 over 520m. That effort was in late July and she also ran second twice over 600m at Dapto just prior. This evening she took on a decent lineup over 488m but from box two was able to jump to the front and win in a smart 27.45. Noted strong finisher Girls Like You ran second and three lengths away third was All About Rock. Sergis Banner has now won 8 of 19 career starts and is raced by the Wood & McKinley Syndicate.
