“Cracker Dust blasts to terrific debut win”

Nambeelup trainer Damien Crudeli looks to have a very handy sprinter in his care. Cracker Dust is a two year old son of Aston Rupee who is out of Tinsel Doll, a bitch who won 8 of 51 in Victoria and Western Australia. The 34kg blue dog led throughout in his Qualifying Trial from box 8, winning by six lengths in 22.65. This evening he drew more favourably in box two for his first race start and he left the boxes moderately before scooting past his opposition and leading to the first turn in 6.30. While plenty of interference occurred behind him, which may well have increased the beaten margins, he was very impressive. The official time was an excellent 22.38 and the winning margin was a whopping 9.50 lengths over Mandy Onyx and Patriot Lyndon. Cracker Dust has a name that rolls off the tongue nicely and is sure to be called the winner a lot throughout his career. Twenty minutes later his litter sister Warrego Rose was also a debut winner in 22.68.
