“Head Noise charges to a strong victory for Jackie Wilson”

Former Tasmanian chaser Head Noise took advantage of an inside run at half way to win tonight’s David Jones Country Novice over 400m. The daughter of Superior Panama won her maiden over 515m at Launceston back in June but has struggled at her three WA starts finishing sixth, fifth and sixth. Tonight she settled midfield at the first turn before running away at the finish to score by 3.25 lengths. Her time of 22.48 was terrific in the wet conditions and she was increasing her lead over the concluding stages. Star Brie finished second and provided trainer Jackie Wilson with the Quinella. Another three lengths away third was initial leader and race favourite Elita One.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 3 Number 3 KID EGO : Caught the eye with a fast finishing third and looks ready to win again.

Race 4 Number 1 COMMANDER MACK : Won easily in 17.28 from box one.
