“Big Brain wins at juicy odds”

The Adam Smithson trained Big Brain broke a losing sequence of twelve tonight when he won the Edmund Dudley Provincial 5 over 400m. The son of Orson Allen began cleanly and shared the lead with race favourite Figs Magee at the first turn. The pair matched strides for the next hundred metres before Big Brain used his inside advantage to edge clear. Figs Magee faded while Rev On Reggie powered home along the rail. Big Brain held on by half a length to beat Rev On Reggie and a length away third was the fast finishing Trunkey Irene. Big Brain clocked 22.57 and took his record to an impressive 7 wins from 40 lifetime starts.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 1 Number 5 ARMED FOR ACTION : Put in a terrific effort only to be beaten in a photo, looks very close to a win.

Race 3 Number 3 BIRDETTA : Mustered like the wind on debut before saluting by a whopping 9.25 lengths.
