“Voodoo Dolly wins first up for Greg King”
Voodoo Dolly hadn’t raced since mid-April and delivered in spades tonight from box seven. Lady Day Star shot to the early lead in the Raymond Smith Country 6 and railed throughout, only to be overtaken in the shadows of the post by the wide tracking Voodoo Dolly. The daughter of Aston Dee Bee was making her 300m debut and despite coursing very deep she posted a terrific time of 17.31. The winning margin was one length over Lady Day Star who just held second spot ahead of the fast finishing Daikoku Flyer. Voodoo Dolly snapped a losing sequence of eleven and has now won 4 of 40 for Martin based trainer Greg King.
HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :
Race 3 Number 1 BEAUTIFUL BABE : Stormed away to win by four lengths in a smart 17.15.
Race 5 Number 2 TARZAN : Finished strongly to be third after being slowly away.
