“Charos Legend leads throughout for John Righetti”

Exciting youngster Charos Legend was well supported into a $1.36 favourite from box one and after a sizzling first section of 6.28 he led all the way. The son of Beast Unleashed is still learning and will turn two years old in September. He set up a handy lead and straightened two lengths in front of Sunset Lightning. The Des Irwin trained Sunset Lightning did rally strongly late but ran out of time, losing by a head with the Paul Kaltsis prepared It’s Frank finishing two lengths away in third. Charos Legend clocked 22.61 and will only get stronger with maturity. His career record now stands at an impressive 10 starts for 3 wins and 4 minor placings.


Race 2 Number 1 LARA HOOK : Bolted in from box one in a quick 17.27 for Andrew McLaren.

Race 3 Number 2 ASTRAL FUN : Rattled home along the rail to win in a handy 17.30.
