20240614 – Mandurah Friday

“Two Spot Malt delivers for favourite backers”

Noted wide tracker Two Spot Malt was heavily supported into a $2.10 favourite to win tonight’s Sign Strategy Country 5/6 over 300m. The son of Fernando Bale is better suited at the bigger Mandurah circuit compared to the smaller, tighter-turning tracks of Cannington and Northam. He began cleanly from box five tonight before hustling to the front and then holding off Found The Brake (2nd) and Flaming Gas (3rd). Trained by Southern River trainer Tony Mallia he has now started 37 times for 7 wins and 12 minor placings. Two Spot Malt is a full brother to other handy sprinters Apache Malt, Evie Malt and Arapaho Malt.
