“Frantic Phyllis wins again for Jackie Wilson”

Mandurah track specialist Frantic Phyllis continued her terrific form at the Peel circuit tonight when she overcame early interference to win by a nose over 400m. The daughter of Zack Monelli gave away a headstart to 70/1 chance Sivo Keeping who had worked his way to the front from box four. Turning for home Sivo Keeping held a length lead but Frantic Phyllis pulled to the outside to stake her claim. They hit the line locked together with the favourite saluting by the smallest possible margin. The pair clocked 22.69 and three lengths away third was Miss Vivas. Frantic Phyllis has now won 4 of her last 5 appearances at the Mandurah track.
