“Sunset Callisto impresses for Hobby”

Smart sprinter Sunset Callisto relished box seven tonight when he zoomed to the lead in the middle stages and won in 22.30. The son of Hard Style Rico had been placed in 4 of his previous 5 starts and last week overcame a slow start to run second to kennelmate Sunset Ali. He joined the leaders at the 300m mark before swooping around them and in the front straight looked very strong and was able to pull away by three lengths. The Max Julien trained Idle Awhile battled on well for second and a length away third was favourite West On Smoky. Sunset Callisto is owned by Clint Hobby, trained by David Hobby and after 26 starts now has 9 wins and 10 minor placings to his credit.
