“Rippin’ Tomahawk claims Express Stake Final”

Four year old chaser Rippin’ Tomahawk notched his twentieth career victory in tonight’s feature event over 400m. The son of Aston Dee Bee had been racing well over a variety of distances and when he hit the front at half way tonight over 400m he was always going to win. The Shayne Williams prepared chaser scored by two lengths in a smart 22.37 over Rex Hunter and a neck away third was the fast finishing Sunset Mirage. Rippin’ Tomahawk returned $23 with the TAB and took his career statistics to an elite 121 starts for 20 wins, 26 seconds, 19 thirds and over $164,000 in earnings. He should win again on Tuesday night when he takes on much easier opposition in a Masters race over 400m.

Race 2 Number 3 WHAT A RIPPER : Mustered brilliantly to find the front and chalk up his third successive victory at Mandurah.

Race 3 Number 1 GRAY GREY : Relished box one and scored over 300m in a fast 17.06.
