20240123 – Mandurah Tuesday

“Max’s Odyssey impresses at second start for McLaren”

Promising youngster Max’s Odyssey made every post a winner in tonight’s David Magistro Maiden over 400m. The son of My Redeemer won quallies at Cannington and Mandurah before running second on debut last Tuesday behind Crooked Kelly. After a moderate getaway he settled fourth at the first turn before flashing home to lose by half a length. This evening he leapt out of the boxes and took the lead before controlling the race and winning in a smart 22.39. Later in the night his full brother Spooky Hook won a Provincial Novice over 400m, handing trainer Andrew McLaren a double.
