“Jett Khan wins powerfully over 488m for James Jeffries”

Promising chaser Jett Khan delivered an excellent performance to win tonight’s KCR Pet Transport Provincial Novice over 488m. The son of Beast Unleashed won over 488m back on December 1 in a swift time of 27.30 but was slowly away and soundly beaten at three subsequent runs at Cannington. Tonight he drew awkwardly against a handy field and after a moderate jump he worked to the lead with 200m to go. As he straightened he zoomed away and was able to increase his lead with every stride, eventually winning by 4.75 lengths over Butter Me Up and Miss Vivas. Jett Khan is trained by James Jeffries out of Nambeelup and the way he finished the race off tonight suggests he will be very competitive over longer distances.
