20231222 – Mandurah Friday – Dawesville Cup

“Nangar Bubbles wins Dawesville Cup”

Former NSW chaser Nangar Bubbles began like a rocket to lead and win tonight’s GreyhoundsWA Dawesville Cup over 488m. The daughter of Tommy Shelby coursed a little wide as she always does and saw off her opponents to win by two lengths in 27.20. The Chris Halse prepared West On Bambi ran second ahead of $1.38 favourite Cubit Monelli who gripped on for third after copping an early squeeze. Nangar Bubbles is trained out of Nambeelup by Sean Kavanagh and has now taken her career record to 10 wins and 11 minor placings from 26 starts. Kavanagh has enjoyed plenty of success in the past with the likes of Starboost, We The People, All Zipped Up, Lacrymosa, Starlight Shine and Alka Casey.

Race 1 Number 4 OUR AIM : Won in a swift 17.14 over 300m after being slowly away.

Race 4 Number 5 JELLY MONELLI : Returned from Victoria and caught the eye with a fast finishing third over 488m.
