“West On Boomer continues excellent form for Chris Halse”

Exciting young sprinter West On Boomer will turn two years old in January and looks set for a very bright future. The son of Kinloch Brae recorded a swift 22.26 last Friday night when he accounted for Minyong and a host of other smart juvenile chasers. This evening he drew box eight and was sent out at $1.45 fixed odds for leading Nambeelup based trainer Chris Halse. He surged down the outside in the back straight to take the lead before winning again in 22.31. The David Hobby trained Sunset Bubbles was beaten four lengths into second spot and another length away third was Go Go Slash. West On Boomer had been responsible for some slick early and middle sectionals at Cannington over 520m but was fading over the concluding stages. The drop to 400m looks a lot more suitable at this early stage of his career and zooming through the grade levels won’t take long.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 1 Number 2 CITY STAGE : Caught the eye with a fast finishing third over 300m.

Race 3 Number 3 MINYONG : Improved at box rise and bolted in, clocking a quick 27.28 over 488m.
