“Nangar Bubbles first to qualify for Mandurah Cup”

Nambeelup trainer Sean Kavanagh advanced Nangar Bubbles into the Mandurah Cup Final tonight, overcoming a couple of hiccups in transit to win the opening heat. She began well but was crossed in the back straight by Fire Cloud. Then turning for home Fire Cloud wobbled wide and took Nangar Bubbles with him. Strong chasers Speedy Willow and Solidified took inside runs but Nangar Bubbles dug deep out wide to regain the lead and win by half a length. She clocked 27.57 which was excellent given the interference she struck at two vital stages of the race. Solidified snatched second and will represent Jarrahdale trainer Krystal Shinners in the final. The other heat winners were Canya Mia (27.35), Hinto (27.26) and King Tommy (27.10). A stunning lineup is set to take each other on next Friday over the new 488m distance.
