20231107 – Cannington Tuesday

“Deuces Are Wild leads all the way for Phil Worthington”

Honest fast beginner Deuces Are Wild did everything right today to take out a 275m Country Novice from box four. The son of Hooked On Scotch had failed to win at the Cannington track at his previous 29 attempts and didn’t let today’s race slip despite being challenged late. He found the lead at the first turn and was able to maintain a small lead all the way to the finish line and ended up winning by half a length. Kennel-mate Zulu Mama ran second and a nose away third was Jeep Broker. Deuces Are Wild is owned by Layla Johnson and is trained by Phil Worthington. He has now started 46 times for 2 wins and 11 minor placings.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 5 Number 2 OPAL DELUXE : Flew out before running second and is going to win plenty of early races with those terrific box manners.

Race 7 Number 3 SUNSET MAYHEM : Flashed home for third.
