“Kid Kimetto upsets Delphini over 380m”

Nambeelup trainer Phil Worthington has done a marvelous job in rejuvenating honest short-courser Kid Kimetto. The son of Aston Kimetto is owned by Laurie Maiolo and only managed 1 victory from his first 22 starts and that win was clocked in a slow 17.78 over 297m at Northam. He scored there again three months ago in a handy 17.40 and has since switched to 380m racing at Cannington where he has thrived. A fortnight ago he improved at box rise and set the pace before winning in 22.04 and upsetting race favourite Riot On Rum. This evening was a similar scenario with Kid Kimetto zooming to the eary lead and then holding off wide tracker and $1.50 favourite Delphini in 22.10. His career record now stands at an impressive 38 starts for 6 wins, 8 seconds and 5 thirds.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 2 Number 3 SUGAR KEEPING : Powered home for another win and looks ready for a rise in distance.

Race 5 Number 7 TERROR COUNTY : Exploded across to lead throughout again and is going to find the front a lot throughout her career.
