“Rockabye Bear breaks through for first Cannington win”

The Margaret Hepple trained Rockabye Bear snapped a losing sequence of fourteen tonight when he scored over 520m in wet conditions. The son of Orson Allen landed in second position behind Big If and was able to take the lead in the shadows of the post and win by two lengths in 30.49. The Andrew McLaren prepared Big If set the pace but weakened late to be the runner up, half a length in advance of the fast finishing Rowdy Bourbski. It was Rockabye Bear’s first triumph at the Cannington circuit at his ninth appearance and overall he has now won 10 of 42.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 1 Number 6 NOT MUCH KUNA : Rushed through the pack after a steady jump to win running away over 275m.

Race 3 Number 4 ROGUE RUNNER : Pushed through hard at the first turn before breaking through for his maiden win at start fourteen.
