20230418 – Cannington Tuesday

“Dozen Staples breaks through at start 41”

Patience paid off for Enzo Crudeli and the Ten Eighty Syndicate this evening when Dozen Staples finally won her maiden at Cannington. The daughter of Quick Jagger had been placed in 17 of 40 career starts and was sent out at fixed odds of $10 tonight. She began better than usual and after being third at half way took an inside run turning for home and defeated her rivals by two lengths. The Barry McPherson prepared Getaway Sticks ran second and another two lengths away third was Lizzy Keeping. Despite only having won one race after 41 starts she has now earned a tidy $11,305 thanks to all of her placings. She is a full sister to other handy greyhounds Quick Mick and Bad Boy Jagger.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 2 Number 5 CAN’T BLUFF ME : Didn’t have any room throughout and it will pay to forget the run.

Race 5 Number 6 BUSTER MOON : Made up plenty of ground after a poor jump and looks to be working up to a win.
