“Bullpen wins novice in tenacious fashion for Eric Campana”

Talented chaser Bullpen overcame a wide draw to take out tonight’s A1 Salvage and Hardware Provincial Novice over 490m. The Chris Halse prepared West On Roylyn jumped a $1.20 favourite from box one and quickly established a four length lead from the inside draw. Bullpen surged across the face of the field to find second position and was able to stay within striking distance of the leader. Turning for home West On Roylyn looked tired and wobbled wide, allowing Bullpen to drive through on the rail and prevail. She clocked a handy 27.68 and took her win tally to 3 triumphs from 20 starts. Her previous numerical form had been poor but she had been racing without any room/luck. She is a daughter of Fernando Bale and is raced by Peter Cameron and trained by mango farmer Eric Campana.

Race 2 Number 1 LUCY HOOK : Mustered quickly to lead throughout over 302m in a splendid time of 16.99.

Race 5 Number 1 WEST ON MORTAR : Cashed in on box one and cruised to a slashing 490m victory in 27.49.
