“Beach Ridge creates huge impression first up”

Nambeelup trainer Adam Smithson unveiled a serious chaser in tonight’s Sign Strategy Maiden over 405m. Beach Ridge, a son of Barcia Bale rocketed out of box one before scoring in a near record 22.16. The time set was just two lengths outside of the current track record held by Canya Cruise (22.03). Beach Ridge is out of Little Grove who showed talent on the race track for Greg Horne and won 8 of her 20 career starts including a sizzling run of 22.64 over 405m. Beach Ridge weighs in at around 35kg and is a full brother to other handy chasers Grass Patch and Sand Patch. The sky is the limit for this guy, he just has to have a decent run with injury.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 2 Number 8 WEST ON GECKO : Was beaten 8 lengths at his first start but the time of 22.74 was promising.

Race 3 Number 4 DAWN OF TIME : Checked off the leader’s heels at a crucial stage and it will pay to forget the run.
