“Couch Surfer takes out Mandurah Middle Distance Challenge for Chris Halse”

Boom youngster Couch Surfer made light work of tonight’s Mandurah Middle Distance Challenge from box four. The son of Fernando Bale began sweetly from the 647m start and zoomed to the early lead with a first section of 3.79 before setting up a six length buffer as he whizzed by the 405m boxes. Second favourite It’s A Dime was in pursuit but was unable to make ground on Couch Surfer who coasted home for a six length victory. The winning time of 36.61 was nothing short of electric. He has only just turned two years old and is owned by Justin Warwick who also bred him. Couch Surfer has now won six on the trot and a rise to 715m at Cannington has to be on the cards with The Galaxy Series just around the corner.
