20230130 – Cannington Monday

“Simply No Doubt breaks through for first win at Cannington”

Reliable beginner Simply No Doubt made every post a winner in tonight’s Box 1 Restaurant Country Novice over 275m. The son of Black Bear Lee had been a minor placegetter at 5 of 10 previous Cannington appearances and was able to hold off the race favourites tonight. Simply No Doubt pinged to the front and despite coursing wide was able to maintain a one length advantage in the run to the line over Lil Waves (2nd) and You Don’t Tell (3rd). He recorded a handy 16.30 and took his career record to 25 starts for 3 wins and 11 minor placings. He is prepared out of North Baandee by Bradley and Trudi Mitchem who have enjoyed success in the past with the likes Destini Cavalier, Destini Surfer, Ice Cold Bundy, Destini Cheetah and Simply Whatever.

Race 4 Number 4 CHAROS MAX : Set up a big win after exploding out of the boxes and clocking a slick 6.43 first section.

Race 5 Number 6 TEENAGE RAMPAGE : Settled well back before unleashing a mighty finishing burst to win in 22.00.
